random graphic design trivia [11 Feb 2008|03:07pm] For my intro to graphic design class we did a profile on Margo Chase, a really awesome designer who created her own firm. So I was browsing through her site and going "oooh" and "ahhh" until I stumbled upon her branding projects for entertainment. Her design group is responsible for many projects in the WB's prime. The WB! Remember that little network? Yeah! The one that spawned BtVS and Angel...and Charmed...Anywho, I was pleasantly surprised to be profiling the people who created the Buffy logo. Ten years ago I didn't give a second thought to who created it (as I was too busy downloading the Buffy font and using it on EVERYTHING...), but now I appreciate Chase and her group for their role in the Buffy universe, and thus my adolescent years. I watched Hollywoodland last week and it was pretty good. I didn't know Caroline Dhavernas was in it...and blonde! She reminded me of Kristen Bell a LOT. Anywhoo, looks like I won't be able to meet my Grey's Anatomy goal. It's tragic. =/ The wireless in my dorm is acting wonky, but that doesn't even matter because my DVD-RW got messed up and so I had to send it back to newegg.com to get a replacement and so my computer's not working without the damn drive.
